In addition to assisting North Koreans in escaping dangerous and life-threatening conditions, our organization also supports them as they resettle in South Korea. We facilitate regular community care events, supplying food and essential supplies that our team collects and distributes directly, fostering dignity and stability for refugees during their transition. To date, our efforts have enabled the rescue of over 6,000 individuals and provided over 36,000 supplies to people resettled in South Korea through ongoing care initiatives and scholarship programs.
One of our primary objectives is to facilitate the rescue of individuals from North Korea, where persistent political persecutions and severe economic circumstances have resulted in particularly harsh living conditions. Since our inception, we have assisted in the rescue of more than 6,000 North Korean refugees, enabling them to reach safety and begin new lives. We remain fully committed to this mission and are actively working to expand these efforts, aiming to provide more individuals with opportunities for safety, dignity, and improved prospects for the future.
We facilitate a range of events focused on sharing and building connection within the North Korean community residing in South Korea. These love-sharing events are intended to provide support to North Korean refugees who may encounter emotional, social, and practical challenges as they adapt to life in South Korea, an environment that can feel unfamiliar and at times overwhelming. Through these gatherings, we aim to create a welcoming environment where individuals feel understood, supported, and less isolated.
With the support of various donors and supporters, we provide scholarships to young North Korean students, giving them financial assistance to pursue higher education. This support lowers economic barriers many students encounter, providing a stronger foundation for future success and stability. By investing in education, we strive to make a lasting impact that goes beyond immediate aid. Our goal is to build a virtuous cycle in which North Korean refugees can uplift one another through generations, using education as a pathway to opportunity, independence, and a brighter future for the entire community.
